Opa-locka residents were shocked this week as news spread of a 9-year-old’s body being discovered in a canal nearby. Authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office officials announced that at 12:20 pm on October 19, they were called upon by Opa-locka Police after they noticed an unresponsive body floating near Northwest 132nd Street and 28th Avenue near Opa-locka. Once there, authorities identified Anthony Brown (9) who had just recently gone missing as they confirmed him to them as their victim.
