Miramar shooting, Aldi supermarket shooting, carjacking, Epic Vibe Residences, Kelton Tavares Reed, public safety, Broward County crimeMiramar Police have reported an investigation is currently underway following an altercation at Epic Vibe Residences that turned physical. One suspect subsequently fled from the scene and carjacked an elderly female customer from the Aldi supermarket nearby before shooting one suspect at gunpoint before fleeing back into Epic Vibe Residences himself.
Following a carjacking incident at a supermarket, two individuals, a man and a woman, were shot outside. One was transported by his friends while another drove themselves directly. Both victims are currently listed in stable condition.
Miramar Police pursued and apprehended 24-year-old Kelton Tavares Reed after they exited their vehicle during the pursuit. Officers apprehended and charged Reed with attempted carjacking as well as multiple firearm charges related to shooting incidents that had previously taken place within Miramar.
Detectives are conducting a lengthy investigation in order to ascertain if one or both victims participated in initiating an argument at their apartment complex.
