Manuel Valera and Altwan Martin were arrested after an intense road rage incident escalated into a shooting at a Chevron gas station near Northwest 67th Avenue and 169th Street on Monday around 9:20 a.m. Surveillance footage caught the confrontation taking place near this corner, though neither Manuel or Altwan was present during it.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, an altercation began while both men drove together before arriving at a gas station for further confrontation. Video surveillance captured Valera pulling up to an outlet pump as Martin approached from behind; both men pulled guns during this interaction, with Valera firing his firearm upon Martin, which led to their respective arrests on charges of aggravated assault with a gun and attempted battery, respectively.

Valera received a $5,000 bond while Martin received a $750 bond; both men were ordered not to contact each other again following this incident, highlighting the risks associated with road rage; both individuals now face criminal charges as a result of their violent behaviors.
