Police in South Florida have charged a woman with armed robbery and attempted murder after she is said to have shot at a man falsely accusing him of rape.
On Jan. 6 in Hialeah, 22-year-old Valerie Meza-Faublack from Hollywood reported being shot at after someone attempted to rape her in a warehouse parking lot near West 18th Street and Fourth Avenue. Police responded after Meza-Faublack reported being fired upon with bullets.
Meza-Faublack reported to police that after meeting the man outside her work, he drove her to a parking lot where he armed himself with a firearm and forcibly removed her clothes before sexually assaulting and raping her, as noted in an arrest report.
Surveillance footage captures Meza-Faublack conversing with police when they arrived, who then brought her to a rape treatment centre for testing of her urine sample; but Meza-Faublack refused and left.
Investigators later spoke with the man, who revealed that Meza-Faublack asked him to join her car but refused to have sexual relations once inside it. While in the car, they failed to have sexual encounters, and instead, she took out her gun and began firing several times at them both; eventually, the victim managed to flee from them both and get away safely.
Police claimed surveillance video showed Meza-Faublack firing at least 15 times into the vehicle of her victim, disproving Meza-Faublack’s statements and contradicting Meza-Faublack’s account of events.
Meza-Faublack had an extensive criminal background, having served probation in another case where she faced charges of acting without a license, organized fraud and grand theft. Contact us for Executive Security Protection Services today
