South Florida Braces for Heavy Rain After Dry Spell

South Florida, after experiencing weeks of dry conditions, is bracing itself for heavy rainfall that began Tuesday afternoon in Palmetto Bay and Everglades around 1 pm and continuing for around two and a half hours thereafter; then an severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Miami-Dade County with 60mph wind gusts and small hail was issued until 2:45.
