The Florida Division of Licensing regulates security training in the state. In order to work as an unarmed security guard in Florida, students must obtain their Class G Security License from an accredited provider. To work as an armed security officer in the State of Florida, a prospective employee needs a the D License and the Statewide Firearms G Course.
Students are required to complete 40-hour security training course at a licensed training center in Miami Florida in order to become ready for employment as a licensed security guard. Our Class D security training is conducted over a 4 day period. Additionally, our training center in Miami, Florida offers students the option of certification with the American Heart Association for the CPR/AED Certification. By Obtaining the CPR certification the student leverages better hiring opportunities.
In Miami, security guards must first obtain their Class D and then they can complete the Class G Security Guard Training. The G License requires a 28-hour course provided by Fast Guard Service LLC in Miami Florida. We also accept students from other cities including: Hialeah, Coral Gables, Doral, Homestead, Opa-Locka, Kendall, North Miami and Miami Beach.
The Security “D” Course will teach students the basic principles of security including; physical security, access control, terrorism awareness and emergency procedures. Skill development shall include report writing, interviewing techniques, crime and accident prevention.
