On Sunday night at just before 11 p.m. near 150 Northeast 8th Street – which houses bowling alleys, bars, and restaurants – one person was critically wounded after gunfire broke out during a fight between two groups located inside 150 Northeast 8th Street building, Miami Police stated that altercations began inside building until they left and escalated outside eventually leading to gunshot.

Officers and fire rescue personnel arrived quickly at the scene to find an individual with serious injuries who was then transported by emergency response teams to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment. Video shared by Only in Dade showed emergency responders tending to this victim.

As it remains unknown whether injuries were sustained, this incident has raised serious safety concerns within downtown areas. Police have launched an investigation into all aspects surrounding the shooting – identities involved as well as possible motives behind an altercation – but as yet have provided no details as they continue gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses.

It serves as a stark reminder of how quickly tensions can escalate into violence in public spaces, especially if tensions escalate quickly. Miami Police are working diligently to piece together events leading up to and following up on this shooting and ensure justice is served; further updates should be given as investigations proceed.
