Murder-Suicide in Fort Lauderdale Leaves Two Dead, One Hurt

Fort Lauderdale police have identified those involved in a tragic murder-suicide shooting at a home on Twin Lakes Boulevard last Friday morning, believed to have taken place when 28-year-old Carlos Reyes shot two people before turning the gun on himself and taking his own life.

Police released the 911 call, in which one individual reported hearing gunshots and screaming while another woman shouted for someone to contact the authorities. Officers arrived on scene to find 24-year-old Michelle Rodriguez dead; emergency response services transported two other victims (male) but they remain critically injured at the hospital; Reyes died later due to his wounds.

Police have yet to reveal Reyes and Rodriguez as being connected or with the survivor, leaving many members of the community shocked over this tragic event, with more information yet unknown about motive and connections among all parties involved in its aftermath.
