In a terrible turn of events, the corpse of Yohanes Stefanos Kidane, a 22-year-old Netflix engineer who went missing in August, has been recovered in San Francisco Bay waters. Kidane, a recent New York immigrant, has relocated to San Jose for a new employment opportunity with the streaming giant.

Yohanes Stefanos Kidane’s disappearance on August 14 stunned his family, friends, and community. The young engineer had just moved to the Bay Area, excited to begin a bright job at Netflix. However, his abrupt disappearance left loved ones yearning for answers. A passing boat near the Golden Gate Bridge made a terrible find on August 29: the bones of Yohanes Stefanos Kidane. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement confirming the tragic discovery, offering insight into the young engineer’s sad demise.
