Paganini Keith Fleurantin, 37, has been arrested in Northwest Miami-Dade after attempting to abduct a female bus stop passenger. Fleurantin faces several charges for attempted kidnapping as well as luring or enticing a child.
On Thursday afternoon, a young girl exiting her bus near Thomas Jefferson Biscayne Gardens K-8 Academy to pick up her brother noticed Fleurantin following her as she walked away. According to an arrest report, Fleurantin called out for her, asking her to come closer, but she ignored his requests and continued walking. He later called out again, but this time was more persistent, calling out again. However, the victim still didn’t turn around despite Fleurantin calling out repeatedly, asking her to come close but still continuing her path away.
Fleurantin then attempted to grab the victim, but she managed to flee back into school safely before Fleurantin could reach her. While fleeing, Fleurantin shouted at her, “You will come back!” as the victim ran. As they fled, he shouted out: “You will come back!”
Quick thinking on her part and quick return to school likely prevented a more dangerous scenario from developing. Authorities were alerted, and shortly thereafter, Fleurantin was apprehended – this case remains open, and he faces serious charges related to attempted kidnapping.
