Family Seeks Justice After Patricia Valencia Killed in Hit-and-Run

Family and loved ones of 47-year-old Patricia Valencia were outraged after hearing of her death by a hit-and-run vehicle on Saturday morning in Liberty City. Katherine Valencia Caro described Patricia as being a loving mother, daughter, and caregiver who always put others before herself – someone that Caro described as being selfless with family caregiving duties: “She was great as mother & daughter… [she loved us all].” Caro expressed sadness for his sister as they mourned his departure.

Tragically, Patricia was among several victims hit by a car that crashed into a bus stop around 9 am on September 15. Investigators believe a black Mercedes-Benz was seen driving along NW 17th Avenue near 54th Street before colliding with it and rolling over after impact; surveillance footage captured these dramatic moments of destruction from this tragic event.

Tragically, Patricia was killed and four other individuals were seriously injured during this accident; all five individuals involved have since been brought to a nearby hospital and are recovering from their injuries.

Caro was left devastated by Patricia’s sudden and unexpected loss; expressing feelings of shock, grief, and anger towards those responsible. Investigators are actively working on finding those responsible, while members of Patricia’s community rallied behind her family, calling for justice in her memory.
