At least eight suspects are facing charges related to an international child pornography ring that published over 1 million videos and photos showing sexual abuse of children that was busted by authorities in Florida.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier told reporters at a news conference on Monday that those charged include one main distributor in Turkey as well as at least seven Florida residents who purchased materials from him.
“What these individuals were perpetrating was truly abhorrent; there is no word in English that can accurately convey the content present on these videos,” Uthmeier noted.
In July 2024, Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents initiated an investigation targeting those selling and distributing child pornographic content online.
Through an Internet chat room, agents discovered a website offering child pornographic materials for sale; with just $100 they were able to purchase 6.7 terabytes (1.2 million videos and photos). Authorities stated this purchase as being successful.
Authorities said these videos and photos depict identifiable children from the United States, including babies who are victims of human trafficking, sexual battery, or any number of other forms of crime, according to authorities. Contact us for Temporary Security Guards Today!
