An investigation is currently underway in Hollywood following a fatal shooting incident Saturday evening. Police responded to a shooting call around 8 p.m. at North 63rd Avenue and Pierce Street near Hard Rock Casino; when officers arrived, they secured the scene by blocking off large sections of Pierce Street with police carrying long guns; shortly thereafter, crime scene units arrived.
Fire rescue crews pronounced one person dead at the scene, yet detectives have yet to release information about the victim or provide additional details on what led up to this shooting.
One neighbor reported seeing a man sitting on the ground, seemingly under police detention. Yet, the details surrounding his role remain unclear, since police have yet to announce that any arrests have taken place.
