Brian Lopez, 31, was arrested after staging an alarming home invasion at the Flamingo Towers apartment building on Bay Road in Miami Beach. Police allege he entered on Tuesday armed with a firearm and ordered three people inside to lie down on the floor before retreating out of sight.
Lopez responded to any attempt by victims to resist, by striking them on the head with his gun and arresting them as well as burglarizing other residents within their complex during this incident. Officers believe Lopez also burglarized another residence.
Law enforcement quickly responded to reports of assault and burglary and arrested Lopez, facing multiple serious charges of armed invasion and violent attack.
