At approximately 3:45 a.m. Tuesday morning in northwest Miami-Dade, a woman was shot. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue received a medical call about a shooting near Northwest 141st Street and 10th Avenue and responded immediately with deputies from Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office arriving to find her with gunshot wounds; they transported her to the hospital in stable condition before her identity and extent of injuries were disclosed by authorities.
Numerous neighbors reported hearing gunshots around the time of this incident, with one reporting hearing nine shots around 4 a.m.; another reported hearing gunfire outside their window and Franklin Pierre described hearing what he described as “boom-boom-boom” gunfire sound effects near his house as being frightening and immediately close by, saying, he felt helpless and scared about what may have been coming their way.

Authorities have yet to provide definitive confirmation or details on an incident in their investigation, though video footage from the scene showed police tape surrounding the area and flashing lights from deputy vehicles. Authorities continue their inquiry as more details emerge from it, leaving residents disturbed and fearing for their safety after what appears to have been an act of violence in their neighborhood.
