On Thursday morning in Miami, police identified the individual responsible for an attack against homeless individuals which resulted in two deaths and two injuries. At approximately 6 am, officers responded to reports of a man wielding a stick attacking individuals near North Miami Avenue and Northwest Sixth Street; upon their arrival, they discovered two victims had been killed during this assault; one could be found near North Miami Avenue/NW Sixth Street while the other near NW First Avenue/NW Sixth Street.
Two more victims were also injured during the assault and taken to local hospitals for medical attention. Miami police have announced an in-depth investigation into this horrifying event, which has stunned and saddened their community.
