Man Shot, Killed By Florida Publix Security Guard: Report
The security guard and the victim were involved in a fight shortly before the shooting, according to a report.
According to patch.com, A man is dead after he was shot by a Publix security guard in Hollywood on Friday, according to a report by WPLG. Police are now investigating the death as a homicide.
The shooting happened at the grocery store at 1740 Polk St. just after 10 p.m., WPLG reported.
Police later determined the victim was known to the security guard and the two were involved in a fight shortly before the shooting. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to WPLG.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
