Zoe Nansen, a student at Houston ISD’s Carnegie Vanguard High School, and Sophie Cardenas, who attends the Houston High School for Visual and Performing Arts, spoke against gun violence at a rally organized by the Texas American Federation of Teachers on Saturday. The students, who both helped organize the March For Our Lives Houston in March, said the shooting at Santa Fe High School should be a wake-up call for state politicians to act.
