A mother from Texas has been charged with murder after shooting her four children, two of whom died from their injuries. The 31-year-old woman faces two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Brazoria County Sheriff Bo Stallman. She is being held on a $14 million bond.
The tragic incident occurred on Saturday when the mother fatally shot her 13-year-old and 4-year-old children inside a vehicle. The other two children, aged 8 and 9, were injured but are in stable condition and were transported by helicopter to a hospital in Houston.
Following the shooting, the mother called 911 to report the incident. Authorities recovered a weapon at the scene. Sheriff Stallman expressed the difficulty of comprehending such a tragedy but assured that efforts would be made to pursue justice for the children.
The mother resides in Montgomery County, located north of Houston. The shooting took place in Angleton, a small city approximately 45 miles south of Houston.
