Michigan police found the body of a 7-year-old Michigan girl lying in her home with multiple stab wounds, and her 13-year-old sister in police custody after they discovered multiple signs of assault inside it. Taylor Police were summoned to a home around 1 p.m. Saturday for an investigation of an ongoing domestic dispute.
Police reported finding a 7-year-old girl suffering stab wounds when they arrived, who was later transported to the hospital where she succumbed. WJBK spoke with numerous residents who were shocked and saddened to hear what had occurred.
“When my grandma told me, I was stunned; they had always been best friends and would play together with their My Little Pony toys,” Matthew, an acquaintance of both sisters told local station. Police stated they cannot release many details at this time due to the nature of the crime and its possible involvement of minors, as this case requires special handling.
Neighborhood members spoke out and provided more details to WJBK about the sisters, such as seeing them around the neighborhood. Now and then when I visited my grandmother’s, I would see a little girl riding her bicycle down the street, so I would go play with her, Matthew recounted. All she wanted was friendship.
