Fort Lauderdale police responded to reports of gunfire near 1600 Southwest Third Avenue shortly after 11:20 a.m. when officers discovered and declared the victim at the scene.
Sky 10 provided aerial coverage of the crime scene at around 11:35 a.m., depicting a large police presence with yellow crime scene tape blocking off the area and evidence markers visible on the ground to mark potential evidence locations while first responders worked nearby. A body had been discovered lying outside of a warehouse.
