Haunting footage has emerged from a suburban Minneapolis home where a transgender suspect allegedly plotted a deadly school attack, according to law enforcement sources. The chilling video, captured during a law enforcement search, shows rooms filled with weapons, tactical gear, and handwritten plans outlining a potential mass shooting.
The suspect, whose name and gender identity have not been released publicly due to ongoing investigations and privacy considerations, was arrested last week following a tip from a concerned citizen. Authorities say the tip led to a search warrant that uncovered a disturbing cache of firearms, explosive materials, and detailed journals inside the quiet residential home in the Brooklyn Park area, just north of Minneapolis.
“This was a credible, serious threat,” said Minneapolis FBI Special Agent in Charge Erica Wilson during a press briefing. “Had it not been for the timely information we received, we could be dealing with a tragedy.”
The footage, released by the Minneapolis Police Department with redactions, shows what appears to be a bedroom converted into a planning area, with maps of local schools pinned to the walls, assault-style rifles laid out on the bed, and a whiteboard outlining attack strategies. A laptop recovered from the scene reportedly contained manifestos and online searches for previous school shootings.
Neighbors expressed shock, saying the individual kept to themselves but never caused trouble. “It’s terrifying to think something like this was being planned right next door,” said local resident Angela Morris. “We never imagined anything like this could happen here.”
The suspect is currently in federal custody and faces multiple charges, including illegal possession of firearms, attempted use of explosive devices, and making terroristic threats. Officials have not yet determined a specific motive, but sources close to the investigation say online extremist communities may have influenced the suspect.
Local school districts have increased security in response to the incident, though officials stress there is no current threat to students or staff.
“This is a stark reminder of the importance of community vigilance,” said Hennepin County Sheriff David Keller. “We urge anyone who sees or hears something concerning to speak up—it can save lives.”
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and more details will be released as they become available.
