Has your spouse’s behavior changed lately? Are they suddenly staying at the office late and going on more work trips? Are you concerned your spouse may be cheating on you?
When it comes to our partners, many of us have a six sense-we know when something is up by even the most subtle changes in behavior and actions.
No one wants to find out that their partner is cheating on them, however, not knowing can sometimes be worse. If you suspect that you partner is having an affair, catch your spouse cheating with these 5 tips.
1. Good Old Fashioned Investigative Work
If you think that you may have a cheating spouse, the first thing you’ll want to do is do some digging in their person stuff. Check through his or her pockets for receipts or any other evidence that they were not where they said they were.
Think about some places where they may hide incriminating evidence that they think you wouldn’t think to look like his or her vehicle.
2. Hire a Private Investigator
Not the best at sleuthing or afraid you’re going to get caught? Hire a private investigator to keep an eye on your spouse and report back their findings.
Private investigators are professionals who can be commissioned to discreetly follow your spouse and report their actions and whereabouts back to you. They can even help provide evidence in the event of divorce.
3. Check Cell Phone Records
Do you share a cell phone plan with your husband or wife? Did you know that you access the phone numbers that every line on your cellular plan has called or texted?
A cheater will likely be calling and texting their lover often and that would be indicated on the phone record. If you see a phone number that you do not recognize that your spouse is frequently corresponding with, they may be cheating.
Along the same lines, if your spouse is constantly on their phone and walking out of the room to take phone calls, you have reason to become suspicious of infidelity.
4. Drop by the Office Unannounced
Think your husband or wife may be sneaking away from the office for secret rendezvous? Drop by their office unannounced to check in on them.
If they are not there when they are supposed to be, you’ve got a red flag.
5. Talk to Close Friends and Coworkers
Lastly, try contacting close friends and coworkers to see if they have any knowledge or can provide any insight. While many will choose to keep out of it for fear of upsetting the other party, some friends or coworkers may put their selves in your shoes and offer up any information they have that can help.
When it comes down to it, if your gut tells you that your spouse is cheating, more often than not it is right. While this is an unfortunate and sad time in your life, finding out the truth quickly will help you deal with the infidelity.
