A 17-year-old has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder following a fatal hit-and-run in Cranford, New Jersey. Earlier this week, two teenage girls were riding an electric bike when they were struck by a black SUV. Authorities say the driver, identified as Vincent Battiloro, fled the scene after hitting the girls and later abandoned the vehicle.
Law enforcement quickly tracked down the suspect, who was taken into custody and charged with murder. The victims, both teenagers, succumbed to their injuries following the incident. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, as the community mourns the loss of the young girls.
