Authorities are conducting an investigation of an officer-involved shooting that took place Wednesday evening at Calypso Cove apartment complex in Lauderhill, Florida.
Resident Anglita Dieudonne recalls her terrifying experience, recalling having to hide with her infant as law enforcement authorities descended upon the area. Other neighbours reported witnessing SWAT teams, ATF agents, deputies, and local officers all present. Dieudonne recalls hearing six or seven gunshots simultaneously and quickly dodging down. However, the experience was still scary and she found comfort by hiding.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) provided a late-night update, although details remained limited due to ongoing investigations. Authorities have yet to release information on who participated in or led to this shooting incident or its cause.
