On Sunday evening at approximately 10 p.m., a man was fatally shot outside a Circle K gas station on Beach Boulevard near Southside Boulevard in Jacksonville. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officers arrived around 10 pm and found him suffering from gunshot wounds; unfortunately, despite our best efforts to save him at the hospital, he died later that night.
Sgt. Ray Reeves from Jackson Sheriff’s Homicide Unit confirmed that another individual has been taken into custody following the shooting incident, and investigators are working closely with both the Medical Examiner’s Office and State Attorney’s Office in gathering evidence and deciding if charges should be filed against this individual.
