Man Injured in Miami-Dade Road Rage Shooting Investigation

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that resulted in an injured individual on Wednesday morning, January 29. Responding to a ShotSpotter alert at 8:21 a.m., deputies found at least one gunshot wound near 102 NW 27th Ave, with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arriving shortly thereafter and transporting him directly to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where his condition is currently critical.

Authorities believe the shooting occurred as the result of a road rage incident; however, further details have not been released regarding this altercation. Local 10 News crews responded quickly and identified two crime sites; Mobil gas station located at Northwest 27th Avenue and 103rd Street and La Malquerida restaurant located just south of this location were the two spots identified as places of criminal activity by Local 10 News crews.

Police have provided no details regarding the identity of the suspect or victim beyond hospital transport, nor on the ongoing investigation, with Miami-Dade deputies and other law enforcement agencies working hard to gather more details.
