Miami police are currently conducting an investigation into an early Tuesday morning fatal collision involving a motorcycle and red Kia Soul that took place around 2 a.m. at Northwest Seventh Avenue and 20th Street, and authorities found the red Kia lying upside-down near nearby bushes rolled over on its side. Sky 10 footage taken around 7 a.m. displayed it still lying upside-down.
John Koontz, 34 years old at the time, was severely injured and taken by Miami Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment; unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
