Early Saturday morning in northeast Miami-Dade was marred by gunfire that resulted in one woman being fatally shot while two children suffered critical wounds, prompting deputies from Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office to respond shortly before 1 am to Northeast 2nd Court and 141st Street where gunfire reports had come in from residents and to locate multiple gunshot victims inside a vehicle; these included 11-year-old girl and 12-year-old male victims that all sustained multiple gunshot wounds within.
At Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where both victims were transported immediately after suffering injuries. Unfortunately, one adult died of her wounds shortly thereafter while both children remain critical and authorities have not provided further details of their specific injuries.
After the shooting occurred on September 7, NBC6 cameras recorded detectives actively gathering evidence. Authorities focused their investigation on a black SUV found nearby which may or may not be linked to it, though no arrests or motive have yet been made for said shooting.
